Paradise Island’s top five excursions

17th March 2021

A visit to the Maldives wouldn’t be complete without some unforgettable excursions and activities, and Paradise Island offers a wide selection of experiences. From water sports and boating trips to island hopping and afternoons spent discovering local culture, we’ve written up a list of our favourite things to do.

Snorkeling

Explore the shallow turquoise waters that surround the island and discover an underwater world, teeming with life. Keep an eye out for tropical fish and colourful corals – you might even be able to get up close to one of our local manta rays. All equipment is provided, so don’t worry if you don’t have your own mask and flippers.

Night fishing

End your day with a trip to one of the Maldives’ best fishing spots and cast your line out by the light of a glorious sunset. Our crew will be on hand to help you prepare your line, and if you bring a catch home, we can help you cook it in time for dinner. Whether you’re a newbie or an experienced angler, this trip is perfect for anyone.

Submarine trip

Sink below the surface and glide through the depths of the Indian Ocean aboard our whale submarine to see a different side to the Maldives. The reefs surrounding the island are home to thousands of different species of fish and coral, as well as being a hotspot for whale sharks, manta rays, and dolphins.

Island hopping

There’s more to the Maldives than luxury resorts and stunning sandy beaches. The 185 inhabited islands are home to more than 500,000 people, and this part of the world is becoming more and more well-known for its rich history and culture. Discover traditional fishing villages, developing towns, and bustling cities tucked away on picturesque islands.

Dive Oceanus

Our atoll is one of the best diving spots in the Maldives, and no stay at Paradise Island would be complete without an underwater adventure. Whether you’re a diving newbie or have years of experience, there are plenty of excursions and courses available with our multilingual staff.
