HISTORY
This five star resort called Sun Island has the local name Nalaguraidhoo. Sun Island, opened in 1998 is located in the southern tip of South Ari Atoll, which is 100km (62 miles) from the Airport. Sun Island is 1.6km long and 440 meters wide and has beach all around with an excellent marine life around.

Transfer to Sun Island As soon as you arrive in Maldives at Male’ International Airport, please visit the Villa Hotels Counter. Our representatives will assist you with your onward journey to Sun Island. If you wish to travel by speedboat, it takes 2 and ¾ hours while the trip can be made via seaplane in only 35 minutes.
