Queen of the night (Husnuheena)
Queen of the Night or Cestrum nocturnum is a night-blooming
flower (Jasmine) with a
strong, sweet scent, this wonderful bushy shrub is a member of the
Nightshade family, which has close associations with human beings in a large
number of cultures across the world. The Intoxicatingly fragrant
greenish-white flowers are insignificant in appearance, but they are
probably the most powerfully scented flowers in the world when open in the
evenings. On especially warm evenings and on full moons, their sweet,
hypnotic scent, designed to attract pollinating moths, can be perceived up
to 200 feet away. You can almost feel the scent in the air--it's very liquid
in texture. Night-blooming jasmine is planted in many areas in Sun Island!
These flowers bloom for seven nights, seven times !!!
